The barrel, slide and upper frame were all milled from premium stainless steel SS-416. The slide and upper frame were QPQ nitro-carburized black and will need only very light lubrication. The barrel was preserved as raw stainless in order to preserve accuracy.
For simplicity and fast acquisition of target, we chose the adjustable Novak rear sight.
For ease of taking down the barrel and slide assembly for cleaning, including the extractor and firing pin, we chose to install a two-piece guide rod which can be taken down from the front of the slide using an Allen wrench. The stabilizer guide rod is made of SUJ2 and coated with black oxide.
The lower frame and pistol grip is made of a sturdy PA6+GF30% formula.
The magazine is a high capacity (12+1) magazine made by SPS-Spain while the magwell is made of T6-7075 and then hardcoat anodized.

Some gun enthusiasts find the use of the Glock magazine for pistol caliber carbines (PCC) as a bit awkward since when the magazine is inserted on the carbine magwell, it will be of such a steep angle of 15% degrees. Well, at UDMC, we can only agree. However, the use of the Glock magazine for a PCC like UDMC's S9-DBB has lots of advantages not to mention its ready availability in the market owing to the fact that Glock pistols are widely used in the Philippines and in other countries. The Glock magazine also has a very high reliability for feeding the ammunition inside the chamber of an AR platform carbine. Hence, at UDMC, we decided to use the Glock magazine for our S9-DBB.
Other gun manufacturers have also chosen the Glock magazine for their PCC's although they reduced the angle (less than 15%) of the magazine inside the lower receiver magwell, thus, slightly pointing the ammunition upwards. We think that it is not a good idea. That is why in our case, we made sure that the ammunition is directly pointed towards the chamber, thus, eliminating the need for "throating" the chamber which is a bad idea from a safety point of view.
In weapons design and engineering at UDMC, our criteria are 1st-SAFETY, 2nd-RELIABILITY, 3rd-ACCURACY and 4th-LETHALITY. The matter of AESTHETICS or "nice to look at" comes only after the 4 criteria have been met.
Just this week, we had developed a "Low Concussion Muzzle Brake" which we have coined as the LCMB device that tames muzzle blast. What is left of the blast after the suppression is propelled forward away from the shooter. This device is ideal for "close encounters". We developed this device for both calibers 9mm S9-DBB and the 5.56mm S5-DGIS in order to discourage UDMC firearms owners from buying and installing after-market muzzle devices that will only VOID the warranty of the firearms that you bought from us.

This model should not be confused nor compared with steel frames. Huwag ninyo kumpara sa Armscor TAC Ultra o Metroarms one-piece steel frame HC models dahil iba ang platform ng pistol na ginawa namin.
